Final Fantasy VII might not be getting an HD remake anytime soon, but one ambitious person has recreated the game on LittleBigPlanet 2. After two years of hard work, Jamie Colliver has squeezed in the story, side missions, cutscenes, soundtrack, bosses, world map and even a battle system from Final Fantasy VII into LittleBigPlanet, spanning across 31 levels. There’s even Limit Breaks in the recreation!

In 2011, LittleBigPlanet 2 released a Final Fantasy VII costume pack (seen above) and you can put those characters in their proper environment through Colliver’s recreation. Colliver documented his entire journey through a series of videos which you can watch below or you can just check out his hard work on LittleBigPlanet 2 on the PlayStation 3 or the recently released LittleBigPlanet 3 on the PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4.
