Final Fantasy VII has made its way to mobile devices, launching on iOS priced at $15.99. According to the game’s listing on the App Store, Final Fantasy VII will require iOS version 8.0 or later and is compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Square Enix does warn that although the iPod Touch is listed as a compatible device, it is not suited to playing this game. Recommended devices include an iPhone 5s or later, 3rd generation iPad or later and iPad Mini 2 or later. A word of caution to those interested in grabbing the game, it will require over 4GB of free space to download and will take up around 2GB of space on your device.

The port of the game is based on the PC release of Final Fantasy VII so no changes or additions have been made to the story. Special features on the mobile version of Final Fantasy VII includes a virtual controller designed to not obscure the action and players can choose between virtual analog or fixed four-way control pad options. In addition, the opacity of the on-screen controls can be adjusted.
There are also new features to make the game easier and more convenient with the ability to turn off enemy encounters on the world and area maps, although that will not skip event battles. There is also a Max Stats command that essentially makes you all-powerful in the blink of an eye.
