Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes has been officially revealed and will be heading to iOS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U and PC. The game was announced at an event in Los Angeles today by Disney Interactive president Jimmy Pitaro, which also confirmed that characters from the Avengers will be making an appearance: Hawkeye, Hulk, Black Widow, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor and Nick Fury. In addition, villains from the series will also be in Disney Infinity 2.0 including Loki and M.O.D.O.K. Even characters from the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie, such as Rocket Raccoon and Groot, will be part of the latest iteration of Disney Infinity.

All content from the original Disney Infinity will carry over to Disney Infinity 2.0, meaning all toys, play sets, power discs and Toy Box levels will be supported. But that’s not to say that Disney Infinity 2.0 is simply the original game with the addition of Marvel Super Heroes, play sets in the new version will be much larger than those in the original. The change will be welcoming as the team has added the ability for characters to fly as well as perform super jumps and climb up the sides of buildings. The level cap for characters will also be raised in addition to expanding the customization system with a skill tree-style interface.

The game will launch with a new starter pack that will include two power discs and three characters: Thor, Black Widow and Iron Man.
