Diablo IV’s (launch review) latest season is the first major step in making the game not just playable but immensely fun, with various things to farm, better itemization, and a greater variety of builds. While it remains to be seen how the team moves forward from here, it appears that they’ve finally found their footing in what the community wants and that’s good news as we learn more about the game’s first expansion, Vessel of Hatred. During today’s Xbox Games Showcase, Blizzard revealed Vessel of Hatred will launch on October 8, 2024, and confirmed the all-new Spiritborn class. The expansion will also give players Mercenaries to recruit, a new PvE co-op activity, and more. Vessel of Hatred will have players exploring the new region of Nahantu as they try to find Neyrelle, who is struggling with the Prime Evil Mephisto.

The team shared the opening cinematic trailer for Vessel of Hatred during today’s broadcast. Regardless of what you think about Diablo IV as a game, I think we can all agree the cinematic team continues to be in a class of its own.
