Remedy Entertainment has been sharing a lot about Control Resonant lately, one of our most anticipated games of the year, and today’s news focuses on the tech side of things. The sequel to the award-winning Control will launch with full support for NVIDIA’s latest RTX technologies, including DLSS 4.5 with Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, path-traced rendering, and RTX Mega Geometry. NVIDIA also shared an exclusive trailer showing off Control Resonant running with these features enabled.
The original Control was one of the best showcases for ray tracing when it launched back in 2019, and it still holds up as a graphical benchmark today. Control Resonant looks to take that even further with full path tracing, which should make a significant difference given the game’s shift from the indoor environments of the Oldest House to the open zones of a warped Manhattan. DLSS Ray Reconstruction is also on board to improve image quality and stability alongside the performance gains from DLSS 4.5.
“The world of Control Resonant is packed with rich detail, and path-traced lighting takes it to the next level,” said Tatu Aalto, technical director of graphics at Remedy Entertainment. “With DLSS 4.5 and Ray Reconstruction, players get outstanding image quality and stability along with performance that lets them fully enjoy the experience.”
When we first covered Control Resonant’s announcement at The Game Awards 2025, the game was confirmed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Mac. Today’s announcement specifically highlights the PC version on Steam and Epic Games Store, Mac via Steam and the App Store, and GeForce NOW. Control Resonant is scheduled to release sometime in 2026, though Remedy hasn’t shared an exact date yet.
