The Battleborn closed technical test will go live starting tomorrow and those fortunate enough to get in will get to check out Gearbox and 2K’s version of a first-person MOBA. To tease the upcoming beta, a new competitive multiplayer reveal trailer has been released for Battleborn, showcasing some of the unique competitive multiplayer game modes. Battleborn will have a classic capture-and-control showdown between two teams, while those looking for a more MOBA-like experience can check out the Incursion game mode that will have players marching their small army of robots to the other side of the map.

Lastly, there’s the Meltdown mode where players can sacrifice their minions to the metal gods with the side boasting the biggest scrap heap getting the win.

During the closed technical test, Gearbox and 2K will be balancing characters, stress testing servers, squashing bugs and testing the online infrastructure. Those with access will be under a strict NDA but will be able to provide feedback on their experiences and discuss the game privately on a forum with other test participants.

Battleborn will also launch with a co-op Story Mode where players can join forces with their friends to take down Varelsi. The game will be released on February 9, 2016 for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
