Bandai Namco is teasing a new RPG reveal, set for March 5 at 3:00 PM Pacific (6:00 PM Eastern). The video teaser shows a fantasy setting as a character flashes onto a screen momentarily, with a sword and shield on its back. While the safe assumption is that it’s a new Tales game, the artwork and overall quality don’t fit. I actually do believe it might be related to the Sword Art Online franchise, which, in some regions, is popular enough to warrant this type of teaser. Also, it feels like the new Tales game would be announced during a major event, like Summer Game Fest. The music doesn’t sound very Sword Art Online, though. Personally, I don’t think it’s a FromSoftware title since those are typically not standalone announcements.

Either way, we have less than 48 hours to wait until we find out what it is. At the very least, Bandai Namco thinks the reveal is exciting enough to kick off a teaser campaign.

Coming soon, a new RPG from Bandai Namco Entertainment
