The sidescrolling MOBA, Awesomenauts, will be heading to PlayStation 4, Ronimo Games has announced. After selling close to a million copies across the current platforms of PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3, Ronimo will team up with Abstraction Games to bring the most recent version of the title to Sony’s next-generation console. That means players on the PS4 will be able to enjoy everything current PC players have received including fixes to the gameplay, an extra map, more than twice the characters, and the ability to customize them through DLC skins.
Strangely enough, Ronimo had no announcement about the title heading to the Xbox One.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out Awesomenauts, we’d highly recommend it if you’re a fan of multiplayer online battle arenas, or want to try the genre out. Using a sidescrolling gameplay mode, the Awesomenauts community is much more casual and more forgiving than what you’d typically find in Dota 2, League of Legends, or Heroes of Newerth. It’s also much easier to dive into the game and learn the ins and outs since Awesomenauts doesn’t have complex item recipes and each character only has two skills rather than four in the typical MOBAs.
