Assassin’s Creed Unity has been officially announced by Ubisoft and will be heading to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC this holiday season. According to the video’s description, the Assassin’s Creed Unity team has been working on the game for over three years and although they weren’t ready to show off the game, numerous leaks earlier this week on the Internet has forced their hand.
The video Ubisoft has shared is actual alpha gameplay footage from Assassin’s Creed Unity, and the company promised that more details will be coming in the months ahead. Based on the trailer, it is likely that Assassin’s Creed Unity will be set during the French Revolution period of 1789 to 1799, as it features Paris’ Notre Dame cathedral and a guillotine.
