The Assassin’s Creed franchise is going open world with its fourth installment, Black Flag. Scheduled to be released on October 29, 2013 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii UAssassin’s Creed IV Black Flag will feature a vast, diverse Caribbean open world. Players will be able to embark on adventures that range from hunting for lost treasures in uncharted islands to naval battles on the open seas. In addition to being able to upgrade their assassin, players will also be able to upgrade their ship, Jackdaw, with new weaponry and more crew members.

Developer Ubisoft has released a video showcasing 13 minutes of the Caribbean open-world gameplay that will surely shine in Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag. The video shows off naval combat, quests, and the ability for players to make decisions based on what they’re in the mood of doing.
