Ubisoft has announced Assassin’s Creed Chronicles, featuring three unique chapters each focusing on a different hero. The game will take a different path than previous Assassin’s Creed games, bringing the thrill of being a Master Assassin to 2.5D. Players will experience three different settings: China, India and Russia, each taking place in a different time frame.
In Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China, players will take on the role of Shao Jun in 1526, as the Ming Dynasty begins to crumble. Jun is the last remaining Assassin of the Chinese Brotherhood and will return to her homeland with a vendetta. Trained by the legendary Ezio Auditore, Jun is out to exact vengeance and restoring her fallen brotherhood.
The next chapter is Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India, throwing the players into the tension between the Sikh Empire and the East India Company in 1841. The setting starts when a Master Templar arrives with a mysterious item that once belonged to the Assassin Order and players will control Arbaaz Mir has he discovers why the Master Templar has come while stealing back the item, protecting his friends and his lover.
Lastly, there’s Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia that takes place in 1918. As Nikolai Orelov desires to leave with his family, he is required to complete one final task for the Assassin Order. In that scenario, Orelov will infiltrate the house where the tsar’s family is being held by the Bolsheviks and steal an artifact that has been fought over by Assassins and Templars for centuries.
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles will be heading to the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One April 21, 2015.
