Pre-download for Aniimo is now open on PC, PlayStation 5, and XBOX ahead of the game’s September 16 launch, and Pawprint Studio has published the server schedule along with a lengthy FAQ covering accounts, cross-platform progression, and preorder packs. The pre-download window opened on September 13 at 7:00 PM Pacific (10:00 PM Eastern), and the PC client needs 40GB of free space, with the studio recommending an SSD install. Console installs run 30GB to 35GB, and the PlayStation 5 version can only be installed to the console’s internal SSD.
For those of us in the U.S., the game actually goes live a bit earlier than the September 16 date suggests. The Aniimo-America server opens on September 15 at 7:00 PM Pacific (10:00 PM Eastern), while the Aniimo-Apac server follows on September 16 at 10:00 AM UTC+8 and Aniimo-Europe at 2:00 AM UTC. Progress is fully shared across PC, console, and mobile within a single server, but data on different servers is completely independent, and there’s no way to move a character between them. PlayStation 5 players are automatically assigned a server based on their PSN account’s registered region, so anyone planning to link a console account to an existing PC character needs to make sure the two land on the same server.

There’s one wrinkle for console players who want to get ahead of launch. Pre-downloading on PlayStation 5 or XBOX requires purchasing one of the preorder packs, either the $9.99 Advanced Edition or the $19.99 Collector’s Edition, since the free base game isn’t available to install until servers open. Pack contents are delivered to the in-game mailbox of the first character created on the purchasing console account, and once accounts are linked, the accessories and items can be used on other platforms within the same server. Aniimo also supports XBOX Cloud Gaming at launch, and neither PlayStation Plus nor Game Pass is required to buy or claim the packs. PlayStation 4 is not supported.
If you plan to link your accounts, you’ll want to play close attention to what you’re doing. The first time a PSN or Microsoft account logs into Aniimo, a popup offers to link an existing Aniimo Pass email account from the beta tests, and that popup is the only chance to do it. Skip it and the console account registers a fresh Aniimo Pass that can never be linked to the old one. Beta testers who logged in through Steam can link that account to their Aniimo Pass through the launcher or the in-game Email Link page, and clients from previous tests need to be uninstalled and replaced with the new launcher. On the shop side, Pawprint notes that every Lumin Crystal purchase comes with a 10 percent bonus, the first purchase of each Lumin Crystal tier grants extra Glimmer, and purchases made through the official Aniimo Shop after linking an email get additional discounts over the console storefronts.
The full FAQ, including troubleshooting steps for the PC launcher and a note for 13th- and 14th-generation Intel processors, is available on the official Aniimo site. Android and iOS releases follow on September 23.
