Andrew Wilson has been named Electronic Arts’ (EA) new CEO and envisions EA “as the World’s Greatest Games Company.” Wilson has been with EA since 2000 and is the former EA Sports executive vice president.

According to a statement issued by Andrew Wilson on EA’s website, he will be focusing on three things heading into the near future:

  1. Continued transformation for our digital future
  2. Delivering amazing games and services across platforms
  3. Instilling a culture of execution that will drive profitable growth

EA has been operating without a permanent CEO since March 2013 when John Riccitiello stepped down. Former EA CEO and board member Larry Probst took on the role of EA’s executive chairman while the company selected a new CEO. Probst will remain as executive chairman as Andrew Wilson transitions into his new role as CEO within the company.

According to a regulatory filing, Wilson’s salary will be $800,000 with bonus potential of 150 percent of his base salary, plus stock options.
