The winners of the 27th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards have been revealed. While it wasn’t much of a surprise that Baldur’s Gate 3 would take home a few trophies, the number of wins for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was unexpected. Hosted by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS), the D.I.C.E. Awards are determined by votes from over 30,000 industry experts, including the developers and studios responsible for creating these games. For this year’s awards, there were 23 categories and Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 took home six awards. Meanwhile, Larian Studios and Baldur’s Gate 3 won five awards, including Game of the Year.

This year’s event also honored legendary Japanese composer and sound director Koji Kondo for his contributions to Nintendo throughout his 40-year illustrious career. Presenting Kondo with the Academy’s Hall of Fame award was composer Brian Tyler, who created the soundtrack for The Super Mario Bros. Movie.
