The StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void closed beta is two weeks away and Blizzard Entertainment has released details on what to expect when it kicks off. The third and final expansion to StarCraft II will focus on the Protoss race, but the closed beta will be multiplayer only as the company looks to balance new units and mechanics in time for the game’s release. According to Blizzard, the Legacy of the Void closed beta will be missing some units, improvements, features, etc. and will feel “more rough than usual” at its start. The beta will also run longer than usual and the company hopes its testers will provide plenty of feedback on their experiences.
New multiplayer units heading to Legacy of the Void include the Adept and Disruptor for Protoss, Cyclone for Terran and Lurker and Ravager for Zerg. One of the major features heading to Legacy of the Void is the new Archon Mode, which allows two players to control one base and army, opening up a new dimension of co-op multiplayer against other people.
