Though it’s not a huge surprise to fans of the Smash Bros. franchise, Nintendo has confirmed that Peach will be a playable character in the new Super Smash Bros. heading to the Wii U, 2DS, and 3DS next year.

So far, Nintendo has confirmed the following characters for Super Smash Bros.: Peach, Luigi, Pikmin & Olimar, Villager, Mega Man, Wii Fit Trainer, Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, and Pit.

In other words, Nintendo is getting all the obvious characters out of the way, minus the new additions they revealed previously.
