Sony is giving an early preview to the games heading to the PlayStation Plus September Instant Game Collection, with the PlayStation 3’s HD-remastered ICO headlining the freebies. But that’s not to say the rest of the PS Plus September additions are bad, quite the opposite actually. Joining ICO will be the Resident Evil Chronicles HD Collection on PlayStation 3, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories for the PSP and PlayStation Vita, Rayman Origins for the Vita, and Galaga Legions DX for the PlayStation 3. That’s right, all those games will be available for free as part of the PS Plus September Instant Game Collection.
ICO is an action-adventure game developed by Team Ico and was originally released for the Sony PlayStation 2 in 2001. Often considered a work of art, ICO was remastered in HD a decade later in 2011 for the PlayStation 3. If you haven’t had a chance to play through ICO, we highly recommend you do, especially since it will be free for PlayStation Plus members.
As for the Resident Evil Chronicles HD Collection, it consists of two games, Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles.
A one-year PlayStation Plus membership is available for $49.99.
