Less than two weeks after Hades II opened sign-ups for its Technical Test, Supergiant Games has announced that it will begin winding down the Technical Test on Monday, April 29. That means players who were accepted will no longer be able to access the game. However, this also means Hades II will launch into Early Access “relatively soon after,” according to the developer.

While not going into detail, Supergiant Games mentioned that the Technical Test helped identify and address several key technical issues it hadn’t found before. I didn’t spend a lot of time playing the Technical Test, but my experience has me very excited for the Early Access. Hades II is one of our most anticipated games of the year, and my initial impressions of Melinoë and her adventure are promising.
