NIS America has announced that Ys X: Nordics will be released in the West this fall on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, and PC. This newest entry in the long-running Ys series was originally released in Japan in September 2023. The RPG franchise is developed by Nihon Falcom, a company that is also known for The Legend of Heroes and Trails series. The story of Ys X: Nordics is set in the northern islands known as the Obelia Gulf and features Adol Christin and the Norman warrior Karja.

Fans of the Ys series will recognize this as a younger version of Adol, setting out on an adventure on the open sea. Players will navigate the vast stretches of the Obelia Gulf, consulting maritime maps and engaging in naval battles with enemy ships.
