More features of the upcoming Microsoft Xbox One have been announced to be behind a pay wall, exclusive to Xbox Live Gold members only. According to the company’s website, OneGuide, Game DVR, Skype, and SmartMatch will be available for Xbox Live Gold members only, which might be another cost Xbox One owners will have to justify when choosing which next-generation console to purchase.

Many current Xbox 360 users have complained about the fact that Netflix is behind a pay wall, despite already having to pay a Netflix subscription. Sony’s upcoming Share feature for the PlayStation 4 is not restricted to PlayStation Plus members and can record and upload up to 15 minutes of gameplay, while the Xbox One Game DVR can record up to five minutes.
