It appears the Xbox One has received a permanent price cut to $299, amid rumors that Microsoft will announce new versions of the console at E3 2016. The 500GB Xbox One bundles will start at $299, while there are 1TB bundles priced at $319, like the Xbox One Rainbow Six Siege bundle. On the Xbox One website, Microsoft lists several bundles that are currently available:

- Xbox One Rainbow Six Siege Bundle (1TB) – $319
- Xbox One Tom Clancy’s The Division Bundle (1TB) – $349
- Xbox One Name Your Game Bundle (500GB) – $299

- Xbox One Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Bundle (500GB) – $299
- Xbox One Special Edition Gears of War Bundle (500GB) – $299
- Xbox One Triple Game Bundle (1TB) – $319
- Xbox One Elite Bundle (1TB) – $449
- Xbox One The LEGO Movie Videogame Bundle (500GB) – $299
- Xbox One Rise of the Tomb Raider Bundle (1TB) – $319

Rumor has it that Microsoft is planning two updates to the Xbox One, a smaller version with the current hardware and a redesigned controller, as well as a new system that will be four times as powerful as the existing console. The smaller Xbox One is expected to be announced at E3 2016 with an August release date, while the more powerful system won’t come until 2017.
While the price cut could be tempting, it’s best to hold off on buying anything until Microsoft makes its official announcements at E3 2016 during its press conference on June 13 at 9:30 AM Pacific / 12:30 PM Eastern.
