The Xbox Games Showcase 2026 will air on Sunday, June 7 at 10:00 AM Pacific (1:00 PM Eastern), featuring first gameplay looks and news on upcoming titles from Xbox’s first-party studios and third-party partners. Immediately following the showcase will be a Gears of War: E-Day Direct, offering new gameplay and details on one of the most anticipated games of the year.
Last year’s Xbox Games Showcase was packed with reveals and the 2026 edition should be no different, especially since this year also marks Xbox’s 25th anniversary. To celebrate, Xbox is bringing back FanFest at Showcase, which will look back at 25 years of Xbox history alongside a preview of what’s next. U.S. residents can enter for a chance to win free tickets at xbox.com/fanfest.
As for the Gears of War: E-Day Direct, The Coalition’s origin story for the franchise was first announced at the Xbox Games Showcase in 2024 and is set 14 years before the events of the original Gears of War. The game follows younger versions of Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago during the start of Emergence Day, and People Can Fly joined the project as a co-development partner last year. The dedicated Direct should give us a much closer look at what the team has been building in Unreal Engine 5.
You’ll be able to catch both the Xbox Games Showcase and Gears of War: E-Day Direct on YouTube and Twitch, with the broadcast available in over 40 languages. The showcase takes place two days after Summer Game Fest 2026 on June 5, so it’s shaping up to be another loaded week for summer gaming events.
