We’re expecting to hear some exciting news from the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9, but until then, here’s the first wave of games heading to Xbox Game Pass in June 2024. Starting today, both Octopath Traveler and Octopath Traveler II are available on Cloud, Console, and PC. These classically inspired JRPGs come from Square Enix, featuring HD-2D aesthetics. I find the second game to be an underrated gem that was overshadowed by other releases in 2023.
On June 12, Depersonalization joins PC Game Pass. It’s a tabletop role-playing game inspired by Call of Cthulhu and features multiple story modes with multiple endings and branching routes. On the following day, June 13, players will get access to Isonzo and The Callisto Protocol on Cloud, Console, and PC. The former is an authentic WWI first-person shooter that puts players in Northern Italy as they fight the Great War on the Italian Front. The latter is a survival horror shooter set on Jupiter’s Dead Moon.
A day one release on Game Pass is Still Wakes the Deep, available on June 18 on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. It’s one of our top games to play in June 2024, developed by The Chinese Room. The first-person narrative horror game takes place on an oil rig in the North Sea, where players must learn how to survive against an unknowable horror that has come aboard.
Xbox also announced that the following titles will leave the Game Pass library on June 15:
- Bramble: The Mountain King (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- High on Life (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Rune Factory 4 Special (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- Spacelines from the Far Out (Cloud, Console, and PC)
- The Bookwalker (Cloud, Console, and PC)
