There have been many rumors and speculations surrounding Xbox’s future business model, and last week, Phil Spencer shared on social media that more details about the company’s vision would be coming this week. Xbox has now announced a special edition of the Official Xbox Podcast on February 15, 2024 at 12:00pm Pacific (3:00pm Eastern). Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming, will be joined by Sarah Bond, President of Xbox, and Matt Booty, Head of Xbox Game Studios, to share updates on the Xbox business.

We avoid reporting on unsubstantiated rumors and speculations, especially since many are deleted from social media once proven wrong. Currently, these rumors range from Xbox going multi-platform with its first-party titles, to Game Pass no longer offering day-one releases for first-party titles, to Xbox exiting the console business altogether. We expect the actual announcement to be a lot less apocalyptic than what some people are saying on social media.
