The team behind Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, Auroch Digital, is teaming up with poncle, the developers of Vampire Survivors, to release Warhammer Survivors in 2026. Powered by the same engine as Vampire Survivors, Warhammer Survivors reskins the gameplay that millions now know with iconic characters from Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. The game looks to play very much like Vampire Survivors, but it’s drenched in Warhammer lore from both universes. The maps will also feature some familiar sights, from the ashen plains of Aqshy to the corridors of an abandoned Space Hulk. While the full cast of characters hasn’t been announced yet, we do see some familiar faces in the trailer, including a Space Marine Sternguard Veteran, Malum Caedo, Stormcast, Neave Blacktalon, and more. As in Vampire Survivors, each character will feel unique, with its own starting weapon and stats.
Obviously, weapons will also be derived from Warhammer, from the iconic Astartes Chainsword to the Bolter. Fans are already loving the glimpse of enemies being drowned in a pot of Citadel Nuln Oil paint. The game will feature multiple modes and stages, as well as plenty of secrets to uncover and collectibles. Those who have played Vampire Survivors know what to expect, and as Warhammer fans, we couldn’t be more excited for this announcement.
