The Warcraft movie release date has been set for December 18, 2015. The Legendary Pictures movie will be released by Universal Pictures and is being directed by Duncan Jones, who previously directed Moon and Source Code. Long-time Blizzard employee, Chris Metzen, will be in charge of writing the story, so at the very least the movie has that going for it. Oh, and that Uwe Boll was denied by Blizzard to direct it.
The Warcraft movie is likely to follow the story of Arthas Menethil, though very little details about it have surfaced over the years. A short teaser was shown at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con, but has never been made public.
Several stars are rumored to play a role in the upcoming movie, including Colin Farrell, Paula Patton, Paul Dano and Anson Mount.
