The Warcraft movie, which was originally scheduled to be released on December 18, 2015 has been delayed until March 11, 2016. The announcement comes from Legendary and Universal, which also moved release dates for a couple other future movies. It is assumed that the Warcraft movie’s release date was pushed back since the new Star Wars movie is coming out on December 18, 2015 – the original date the Warcraft movie was supposed to hit the big screen. Given how big the Star Wars franchise is, it’s not a surprise move for Legendary and Universal to change the Warcraft movie’s release date.

At BlizzCon 2013, more details on the Warcraft movie were released, with director Duncan Jones stating that the movie will place emphasis on both the humans and the orcs and will tell the original tale of Lothar and Durotan.
