The PlayStation Blog has just opened voting for the Game of the Year Awards 2023, where you have the opportunity to cast your vote in 18 different categories. The winners of these awards are chosen entirely by the community vote, and closes on December 17 at 11:59pm Pacific (December 18 at 2:59am Eastern).
In providing guidelines for this year’s voting, the PlayStation Blog notes that each category includes a write-in option, so users can nominate their favorite titles even if they weren’t initially nominated. The Best Multiplayer Experience focuses on titles released in 2023, while Best Ongoing Game focuses on games that have seen new content or game-changing updates over this past year. Due to the voting’s closure date, some recent titles are excluded and will instead be eligible for next year’s awards. Additionally, titles that have previously won a Platinum award in any category are not eligible for nomination in the same category again this year.
