Sony PlayStation has announced that the vampire survival action RPG V Rising is launching on PlayStation 5 on June 11. Those who preorder the game will get five days of early access, allowing them to start their adventure on June 6. Developed by Stunlock Studios, V Rising spent nearly two years in Steam Early Access before launching its 1.0 version earlier this month. It’s a top-down action game that plays a bit like a soulslike version of Diablo, or the recent No Rest for the Wicked. Progression involves killing bosses, farming materials, and building a castle with crafting stations to outfit your vampire with better gear. As you progress, you will unlock a variety of spells and weapons to cater to different playstyles.

We recently completed our playthrough of V Rising (review coming soon) and highly recommend the game to those who are fans of any of the genres it encompasses. The crafting and survival aspects are well done, combat feels very solid with a decent amount of build variety, and some of the later bosses are challenging.
