Google Trends’ Year in Search 2023 report has unveiled the top search trends of the year. Surprisingly, the top trending video game globally, and in the U.S. and Canada, may be unexpected since many forgot it even released this year, and it wasn’t nominated at The Game Awards 2023.
It’s interesting to see how different search trends are in varying countries, with Canadians really interested in word games. Other surprises include the appearance of Sons of the Forest and Atomic Heart on the lists. Finally, the success of HBO’s The Last of Us series notably spurred interest in the franchise.
