Pokémon Day is happening on February 27, 2025, and the Pokémon Company International has now confirmed it will host a Pokémon Presents video presentation on that day. The annual holiday celebrates the release of the original Pokémon video games, Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green, in Japan. The video presentation will be streamed at 6:00 AM Pacific (9:00 AM Eastern) and will be available on the official Pokémon YouTube and Twitch channels.
It’s highly likely we’ll hear more about Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which was announced during last year’s Pokémon Day. It was confirmed then that the game will be released worldwide sometime in 2025, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch. In the announcement trailer, the Pokémon Company confirmed that Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be “an ambitious new entry” and takes place in Lumoise City. Since it is a Pokémon Legends title, expect it to build on Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which launched in 2022.
For general Pokémon fans, the brand is also celebrating the Year of Eevee with numerous new product releases throughout the year at Pokémon Center. Look for various bundles containing Eevee-centric items, including a new kitchenware line and a new Eevee plush.
Players of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet can stop by a GameStop or Best Buy starting today through February 27 to get a distribution code for a Flying-Tera Type Eevee while supplies last. Also, from now through February 27, Pokémon GO players can place PokéStops at participating retailers with Lure Modules active to make more Pokémon appear.
Pokémon TCG players can look forward to non-competitive Play! Pokémon events on February 27 at participating Pokémon League locations. While these events are designed as learn-to-play events for Trainers who are just getting started, participants will have the opportunity to get a Pokémon Day 2025 League Celebration promo card featuring Sylveon, while supplies last. Other giveaways will include demo decks highlighting Pikachu ex and Charizard ex, as well as various Pokémon TCG accessories and promo cards featuring winning artwork from last year’s Pokémon TCG Illustration Contest. Those promo cards will be available as gifts with purchase from participating retailers, including Pokémon Center, starting on February 21.
