First revealed in May during the last State of Play, Dynasty Warriors: Origins is set to launch on January 17, 2025. Developed by Koei Tecmo and Omega Force, the next evolution of Dynasty Warriors is set in the Three Kingdoms, a pivotal historical period in ancient China. In the game, players experience the Three Kingdoms tale through the protagonist, gaining a firsthand view of life in ancient China. He’s a traveling martial artist with amnesia, carrying a secret that will ultimately impact the fate of the Three Kingdoms. Throughout his journey, he’ll meet many famous warriors from the era, some of whom will align with him while others will become enemies.

Let’s be honest, most people don’t play Dynasty Warriors games for the story—it’s the iconic 1 vs. 1,000 battles that fans look forward to. Of course Dynasty Warriors: Origins carries on that tradition, and players will be joined by officers and soldiers they can rely on and issue commands to the unit they lead. Players can even take control of Mosou officers when certain conditions are met during battle.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC at launch.
