Square Enix has announced that Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai is set to release worldwide on September 28, 2023. The upcoming game will be available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. Based on the anime series, Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai, this action role-playing game will blend visuals with art from both the anime and manga.
Players will experience two distinct types of gameplay in Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai: Story Mode and the Temple of Recollection. As its name suggests, Story Mode delivers a classic campaign experience, while the Temple of Recollection features an evolving dungeon that changes with each playthrough. It sounds a bit roguelike since players will get rewards to defeat enemies that grow stronger the deeper they progress. The mode also has accessories called Bond Memories, which can be equipped to augment the abilities and stats of the characters in the party. Each time a Bond Memory is unlocked, scenes from the original manga will be revealed.
Preorders for Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest are now available and include Dai’s special outfit “Legendary Hero” and the Bond Memory “The Hero’s Tutor.” There is also a Digital Deluxe Edition that adds the following bonus items:
- Popp’s special outfit “Legendary Mage”
- Maam’s special outfits “Legendary Priest” and “Legendary Martial Artist”
- Hyunckel’s special outfits “Legendary Swordsman” and “Legendary Warrior”
