Two months after its release, Elden Ring Nightreign is finally adding two-player Duo Expeditions with patch 1.02 on July 30, 2025. The two-player Duo Expeditions mode was noticeably missing at launch; Elden Ring Nightreign was initially designed for three players, though players can tackle Expeditions solo. The game initially required balancing for solo players, and it’ll be interesting to see how it handles Duo Expeditions. The update will also include various quality-of-life UI improvements, such as enhanced filtering options for Relics.
Although I’m not a huge soulslike fan, I really enjoyed Elden Ring Nightreign, and I’m excited to see how Duo Expeditions play out.
