Square Enix has arguably had the most successful concert tours based on video game music, and now it’s expanding beyond Distant Worlds and the NieR:Orchestra Concert. AWR Music Productions and Square Enix have announced a new official symphonic concert tour called The Music of Square Enix – Magic, Memories, and Melodies. This tour will celebrate the music of various Square Enix titles including Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Legend of Mana, NieR, Octopath Traveler, and more. Once again, it’ll be under the direction of conductors Arnie Roth and Eric Roth, who have led many other Square Enix concerts over the years.

I’m happy to hear that more than just Final Fantasy and NieR are going to be celebrated now. Chrono Trigger has one of the best soundtracks ever, and Octopath Traveler I and Octopath Traveler II’s soundtracks have really flown under the radar. Obviously Kingdom Hearts and Yoko Shimomura’s work need no introduction, but it’s great to hear that a single concert will cover so many of my favorite franchises.

Currently, there are 15 stops on the tour from April 2026 to April 2027. As usual, though, dates and venues are subject to change, and additional dates and cities may be added.
