One of the biggest surprises from today’s State of Play was Midnight Walk, an upcoming title from Moonhood, the developers of Lost in Random. Coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2 in spring 2025, Midnight Walk is a dark fantasy adventure—quite literally made of clay. Every asset in this handcrafted adventure was sculpted in clay and 3D-scanned into the game, giving it one of the most unique visual styles we’ve ever seen. The game focuses on The Burnt One, a mysterious being who has dug themselves out of a muddy grave. They then find their purpose in Potboy, a little dormant lantern creature that players will reignite and bring back to life.

Players will embark on a journey with The Burnt One and Potboy down the Midnight Walk, described as a perilous, nightmarish highway. Along the way, they’ll have to survive five strange tales about fire, outsmarting ghoulish enemies while meeting a fantastical cast of companions.

The team will have much more to share as launch approaches, but in the meantime, if you want to learn more about the game’s carefully crafted clay creatures, check out this blog post.
