NIS America has revealed that The Legend of Legacy HD Remastered is slated for an early 2024 release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, and PC. First launched in 2015 on the Nintendo 3DS, the game takes players on a journey with seven heroes through the mystical land of Avalon. Each of the seven protagonists has a unique motivation for exploring Avalon, as well as their own distinct ending. Avalon, a mythical island said to be crafted by gods and elementals, harbors fabled treasures of immense power.

The development team for The Legend of Legacy includes several industry veterans well-known to JRPG fans. The narrative is penned by Masato Kato, known for his work on Chrono Trigger, while the soundtrack is composed by Masashi Hamauzu, who has composed Final Fantasy XIII and contributed to other titles in the Final Fantasy series.
