In May, Microsoft announced it was closing four of its acquired studios, one of which was Tango Gameworks. It was the most surprising of the four, given that Tango Gameworks was responsible for Hi-Fi Rush, a game widely regarded as a success. Fortunately for the staff and gamers worldwide, Krafton has welcomed Tango Gameworks to its team, including the rights to Hi-Fi Rush. Krafton is the publisher behind PUBG and other hits, such as Subnautica.

This is Krafton’s first significant investment in the Japanese video game market, and it likely won over a few fans with the move. As part of the agreement, the company is working with Xbox and ZeniMax to ensure continuity at Tango Gameworks. In the press release, Krafton also suggested that Tango Gameworks is working on a new Hi-Fi Rush game. The move will not affect the existing game catalog, including The Evil Within, The Evil Within 2, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and the original Hi-Fi Rush.
