Terraria 1.2 is now live with an extremely lengthy changelog. Along with various bug fixes and improvements, the Re-Logic team has really gone out of its way to breathe new life to a popular game that was originally released for the PC on May 16, 2011.
According to the Terraria 1.2 changelog, there are now over 1,000 new items, 10 new ores, 4 new wood types and 31 new brick types. The game also has added eight new friendly NPCs, four new bosses and over 100 new enemies. Even the music in Terraria 1.2 gets updated with 15 new tracks for the game, three of which were brought over from the console version.
As for gameplay and mechanics changes, Terraria 1.2′s enemies now have health bars while players will benefit from the addition of a map, mini map and overlay. Certain items now stack to 999 while character slots have been increased to 1,000.
Performance of the game on the PC has also been enhanced with the game now only loading assets when needed, reducing the amount of RAM used.
