Terraria is seeing a major update to its PC version on October 1, dubbed Terraria 1.2. Re-Logic has been working on the 1.2 content patch, which will be available for free, since the start of the year and it appears that there will be tons of new content added to the game. It’s a surprising move by the developer to offer it for free, in a world where it seems every company tries to nickel and dime a few more bucks from gamers through DLC.
Even better is the fact that the update comes over two years since the game’s original release on May 16, 2011.
Terraria was recently released on Android and iOS. It is currently available on Steam for $9.99.
