Jack Black’s relationship with video games and music became a smash hit earlier this year with “Peaches” from The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Now, Black and Tenacious D’s Kyle Gass have released the music video for “Video Games,” created by Oneyplays and directed by Adam Paloian and Chris “Oney” O’Neill.
While Jack Black might currently be known for playing the role of Bowser in the billion-dollar Super Mario Bros. movie, his relationship with video games extends beyond this role. The music video pays respect to several famous franchises, including Sonic the Hedgehog, God of War, Fallout, Red Dead Redemption, The Legend of Zelda, Street Fighter, Minecraft, Tomb Raider, Team Fortress 2, and Mega Man.
“Video Games” is only 95 seconds long, but it might be the best 95 seconds so far this year.
