The Steam Controller, which features dual trackpads, is a very interesting device coming from the brilliant minds at Valve. So how exactly will it work to help translate your typical mouse controls over to a controller? Valve has shared a video showing off a prototype of its Steam Controller in action, checking out an assortment of PC games including Portal 2.
According to Valve, it has found a way to trick older games into believing that they’re played with a keyboard and mouse even though it’s the Steam Controller at the helm. Every PC game that was previously only playable with a mouse and keyboard will be accessible with the Valve’s new controller.
