Ubisoft has announced Star Wars Outlaws is launching on August 30 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It will also be available on Amazon Luna through Ubisoft Connect. Ubisoft+ subscribers, as well as those who purchase the Gold Edition or Ultimate Edition of the game, can get up to three days of early access. Preorder bonuses include the Kessel Runner Bonus Pack, which includes cosmetics for Kay’s speeder and her ship, the Trailblazer.

Along with announcing the release date, Ubisoft shared the official story trailer that revealed more details about protagonist Kay Vess and her companion Nix. The premise isn’t groundbreaking; essentially, Kay’s antics as a skilled thief catch the attention of Sliro, the leader of the criminal syndicate Zerek Besh. Slori places a bounty on Kay’s head and offers Kay and Nix one shot at freedom by pulling off one of the greatest heists of all time. Players will take Kay and Nix across the galaxy to build their reputation with criminal organizations, including the Pyke Syndicate, the Hutt Cartel, the Ashiga Clan, and Crimson Dawn. Hey, it’s at least better than another hero-becomes-Jedi plot.

The base game will cost $69.99, and a Season Pass has already been confirmed. The Gold Edition includes the Season Pass (two DLCs, Jabba’s Gambit exclusive mission at launch, and Kessel Runner Character Pack) and up to three days early access. The Ultimate Edition includes everything from the Gold Edition, as well as the Sabacc Shark Bundle and Rogue Infiltrator Bundle, both of which are cosmetics, as well as a digital art book.
