Last year, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 topped the chart for the most-downloaded PlayStation 5 game on the PlayStation Store in the U.S. and Canada, but Call of Duty: Black Ops fatigue is setting in. This year, Activision’s latest title ended up seventh, several spots behind Battlefield 6, which finished in second place among the top downloaded PlayStation 5 games in the U.S. and Canada. Leading the way was NBA 2K26, while Grand Theft Auto V, even after all these years, finished in third. It was nice to see ARC Raiders snagging the eighth spot, just ahead of PlayStation’s own Ghost of Yōtei.

In the EU, EA Sports FC 26 topped the charts for PlayStation 5 games, which isn’t much of a surprise considering EA Sports FC 25 did the same last year. Grand Theft Auto V came in second, while EA Sports FC 25 came in third. Clearly, gamers in the EU love their football. While Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 finished second in the EU last year, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 landed in seventh place. Again, it was behind Battlefield 6, which finished in fifth place.

As for PlayStation 4 games, Red Dead Redemption 2 topped the charts for all reported regions. Interestingly, Star Wars Battlefront II and Batman: Arkham Knight rounded out the top three in the U.S. and Canada, while A Way Out and EA Sports FC 26 rounded out the top three in the EU. A Way Out was Hazelight’s first dedicated co-op game, which paved the way for It Takes Two and last year’s wonderful Split Fiction.
