During today’s Annapurna Interactive Showcase, the publisher made a surprise announcement that Sayonara Wild Hearts is now available on PlayStation 5, offering a full upgrade for current PlayStation 4 owners. The critically acclaimed rhythm game currently sits on Steam with an Overwhelmingly Positive user review rating. Originally launched on PlayStation 4 in September 2019 before heading to PC in December 2019, Sayonara Wild Hearts is a hard game to describe. Officially, it’s billed as a “dreamy arcade game about riding motorcycles, skateboarding, dance battling, shooting lasers, wielding swords, and breaking hearts at 200 mph.” In reality, it’s mainly a rhythm game featuring an excellent soundtrack and a wide variety of gameplay.
Sayonara Wild Hearts is truly a unique experience, and it sounds like it’s even better on PlayStation 5 as the game adds an exclusive Remix Arcade game mode where players can chase high scores in endlessly replayable levels, set to a selection of songs from the aforementioned iconic soundtrack. The PlayStation 5 version also features upgraded 4K visuals, supports haptic feedback, and can run at up to 120 FPS. Again, those who already own the game on PlayStation 4 can upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version at no cost—they just need to link both platforms to the same account.
In addition to the PlayStation 5 release of Sayonara Wild Hearts, the Annapurna Showcase also confirmed that Lushfoil Photography Sim is launching on April 15, 2025. This digital photography experience takes the idea of photo-mode to its own game, taking players all around the world to capture stunning real-world locations. Another game getting a release date is To a T, from Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi. The colorful adventure game tells the story of a teen navigating life in a small town, joined by their cute dog companion. Players can look forward to To a T when it launches on May 28.
Another title showcased today was Wheel World, a single-player bicycle racing adventure. Players take on the role of Kat, a young cyclist who has one mission: to save Wheel World from total collapse. Packed with plenty of bike customization options, Wheel World is slated to launch sometime this summer.
