In September, Saros shared a first look at gameplay and announced a release date of March 20, 2026. Unfortunately, the game has been delayed to April 30, 2026, but it appears Housemarque is confident in that date because preorders are now live on the PlayStation Store. The team also brought a new trailer to The Game Awards 2025, which previews the game’s mysterious story. The team at Housemarque says Saros is its biggest and most ambitious story yet, focused on Arjun Devraj (Rahul Kohli), a powerful Soltari Enforcer who will stop at nothing to find the person he’s looking for.
Joining Kohli in Saros will be Jane Perry as Sheridan Bouchard, Ben Prendergast as Jerome Jackson, and David DeSantos as Sebastian Torres. We also hear the voices of Adriyan Raye and Shunori Ramanthan in the latest trailer. There are even more cast members to share, but for now, Housemarque is keeping them a secret. It did say that its goal is to create an emotional, haunting, and powerful character study that explores the cost of creating a new future.
In terms of the gameplay, the new trailer shows off a parry ability where perfect timing of R1 will reflect certain projectiles back at enemies, destroying or staggering them. Considering it worked pretty well for DOOM: The Dark Ages earlier this year, I imagine parrying in Saros will feel engaging alongside its fast-paced gunplay.
Those who can’t wait to get their hands on Saros can get the Digital Deluxe Edition for 48-hour early access. The Digital Deluxe Edition also includes several suits inspired by Returnal, God of War, and Ghost of Yōtei. Those who preorder will also get the Hands of Shore Armour as a bonus.
