The PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for December 2024 have been announced, and the lineup includes a Game of the Year winner: It Takes Two on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The pure co-op experience is one of the best we’ve ever played, with an eclectic mix of gameplay that not only keeps you on your toes but also ensures the game never gets boring with the right partner. The story isn’t the most memorable, but it serves its purpose in moving the game along.
The next title in the lineup couldn’t be more different from It Takes Two. Aliens: Dark Descent, available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, is a real-time strategy game where players command a squad of colonial marines working to stop a Xenomorph outbreak on Moon Lethe. The final title is Temtem on PlayStation 5, an online creature-collecting game where players explore the six islands of the Airborne Archipelago while embarking on an epic adventure. All three games will be available to PlayStation Plus members from December 3 to January 6.
In addition to these three titles for PlayStation Plus members, there will be some more activities to celebrate the PlayStation 30th anniversary. This includes a game trial for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2; a trio of PlayStation classics—Sly 2: Band of Thieves, Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, and Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy; a free online multiplayer weekend and esports tournament from December 6 to December 8; and various sweepstakes running from December 10 to December 23.
