Sony has announced an exciting lineup of titles joining the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog library in July 2025, headlined by none other than Cyberpunk 2077. Sony said Cyberpunk 2077’s inclusion is part of the PlayStation Plus 15th anniversary celebrations and includes a 30-percent discount on the Phantom Liberty expansion exclusive to PlayStation Plus members. That discount is available from now until July 23. This month’s lineup, with the exception of Cyberpunk 2077 and Abiotic Factor, will be available to play on July 15. Cyberpunk 2077 is available starting today, July 9, while Abiotic Factor launches on July 22 as a day-one release.

Available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Cyberpunk 2077 is developer CD Projekt Red’s latest creation. The game had a bumpy launch but has since transformed into one of the best games out there. One of the game’s biggest changes was version 2.0 in late 2023, which coincided with the launch of the Phantom Liberty expansion. In May 2025, CD Projekt Red confirmed that a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 has entered the pre-production phase, and more recently, Netflix announced that Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is now in production.

The other title launching separately is Abiotic Factor, a crafting survival game with a ’90s sci-fi twist. We enjoyed our time with the game on PC, and now PlayStation 5 gamers will be able to hop into the adventure on July 22. Abiotic Factor puts its own twist on the traditional crafting survival formula, with a quirky story, supernatural artifacts, transdimensional enemies, and more.

The rest of the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog July 2025 lineup, headlined by Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden on PlayStation 5, is available on July 15. It comes from developer DON’T NOD, known for creating the Life is Strange series and, more recently, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage. Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden tells the story of Antea Duarte and Red mac Raith, lovers and Banishers; ghost hunters who have vowed to protect the living from the threat of lingering ghosts and specters. The story is set when Antea becomes fatally wounded on a mission, becoming one of the spirits she loathes.

If Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden sounds too serious for you, there’s Bluey: The Video Game on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It features a brand-new story set across four interactive adventures, allowing players to explore iconic locations such as the Heeler House, Playgrounds, Creek, and a bonus beach location for the first time ever. Another more casual and relaxing game in this month’s lineup is Planet Zoo on PlayStation 5. It comes from the developers of Planet Coaster and Zoo Tycoon, with Planet Zoo focused on managing a zoo in several different game modes, including a globe-trotting campaign in career mode.

If managing a zoo doesn’t sound appealing to you but taking on the role of El Presidente and controlling your own banana republic does, Tropico 6 goes to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The PlayStation 5 edition is the Next Gen Edition, which includes The Llama of Wall Street DLC and the El Prez Pack. Tropico 6 is a sim management game where players must manage islands however they see fit, even if that means being a ruthless dictator. It also includes some silly humor.

One game joining the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog that we really enjoyed as a group is Risk of Rain 2 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This roguelike third-person shooter has an addictive gameplay loop with varied maps and playstyles. It can get a bit repetitive and boring after a long while, but it’s a ton of fun when playing with friends.

The final title available to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers is New World: Aeternum on PlayStation 5. New World: Aeternum is an action RPG that was originally marketed as an MMORPG. In New World: Aeternum, players take on the role of a shipwrecked explorer who has washed ashore on the mysterious island of Aeternum. We spent some time with New World when it initially launched, but we haven’t revisited it since it’s undergone numerous changes in recent years. It’s probably worth a look as a PlayStation Plus title.

PlayStation Plus Premium members will also get access to Twisted Metal 3 and Twisted Metal 4, both on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Both titles get up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters to enhance the experience for a modern audience.
