PlayStation Plus is kicking off 2026 with a strong lineup of titles heading to the Game Catalog. All of the games will be available starting January 20 for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members. With Resident Evil Requiem’s launch around the corner on February 27, you can get ready by diving into Resident Evil Village on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This standalone story follows Ethan Winters and his wife, Mia, who live peacefully until tragedy strikes again. The game is set a few years after the events of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, and it’s up to Ethan to uncover the mysteries of the village.

Another major title heading to the Game Catalog is Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Launched two years ago, this Yakuza game brings together two iconic characters, Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu. This entry takes players to a brand-new location in Honolulu, along with the familiar streets of Tokyo’s Kamurocho district. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth brings hybrid RPG-style battles and the franchise’s trademark side activities.

The next title on the list is Expeditions: A MudRunner Game on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 for those who love scientific expeditions. Discover the mysteries of uncharted lands either solo or with other players, exploring vast environments, from deserts to forests and mountains to forgotten ruins. This game is all about driving all-terrain vehicles on research missions, while building and managing a base, outfitting your vehicles with gadgets, and hiring a team of experts to unlock new possibilities for exploration.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead | Image: Stormind Games

If you’ve already experienced Resident Evil Village but still want a single-player horror adventure game, there’s A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead. Inspired by the movie franchise, the game presents a unique survival story after an invasion of deadly creatures. A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is only available on PlayStation 5.

A pleasant surprise for this month’s lineup is Darkest Dungeon II on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This roguelike game is the sequel to the extremely popular Darkest Dungeon, and it has players forming a party, equipping a stagecoach, and setting off across a decaying landscape. If you love turn-based RPGs with a dark fantasy twist, Darkest Dungeon II is a must-play.

Maybe you heard of The Exit 8, the short walking simulator that got really popular on the internet for a brief period of time. The game is inspired by Japanese underground passageways, liminal spaces, and backrooms, and it has players trapped in that world. They’ll need to look for The Exit 8 by keeping an eye out for anomalies throughout this seemingly endless underground passageway. It’s a short experience, anywhere from 15 to 60 minutes, and well worth it, even if you’re not into these types of games.

Art of Rally | Image: Funselektor Labs

For something entirely different, there’s Art of Rally on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This stylized experience comes from the creator of Absolute Drift and focuses on the golden era of rally racing. Players get to race across the world through 91 stages, covering Finland, Sardinia, Norway, Japan, Germany, Kenya, and Indonesia. There’s plenty of cars, too, from the 1960s to the 1980s, including Group B, Group S, and Group A.

The final title available to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members is A Little to the Left on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It’s a tidy puzzle game featuring a mischievous cat that players will have to watch out for while sorting, stacking, and organizing household objects. The game has over 100 puzzles to discover and one cat who loves chaos.

PlayStation Plus Premium members will also get access to Ridge Racer on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This is the original PlayStation release enhanced with up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters for those who want to relive that experience. It’s one of those classic arcade racers that really paved the way for some of today’s greats, and it does make me wonder if we’ll ever see it return.
