Earlier this year, in May, PlayStation shut down its loyalty program called PlayStation Stars. That program rewarded players for playing games with unique Digital Collectibles. When PlayStation Stars was discontinued, Sony said it would focus on exploring new ways to evolve its loyalty programs, and now we are seeing the first of these efforts. Called Franchise Rewards, the initiative will deliver commemorative merchandise to celebrate in-game achievements, and it all starts with Ghost Rewards for Ghost of Tsushima. Obviously this is to get players excited for the upcoming Ghost of Yōtei, which will get its own rewards down the road.

The first Ghost Rewards will be available to players who have earned the “Mono No Aware” Gold or “Living Legend” Platinum trophies in Ghost of Tsushima by December 31, 2025. By obtaining those trophies, players will unlock access to a selection of limited-edition merchandise that has been designed to honor the spirit of Jin Sakai’s journey. There are two Ghost of Tsushima rewards available for preorder starting today at ghostrewards.playstation.com for those who have earned the trophies. The rewards are available to ship to players in the U.S., Canada, Australia, Europe, and the U.K., but additional availability may be introduced later on.

Those who have unlocked the “Living Legend” Platinum Trophy can purchase a commemorative pin for $25, while the “Mono No Aware” Gold Trophy grants access to a commemorative T-shirt for $30. Shipping is charged separately and varies depending on where you live. While eligibility runs through December 31, players have until January 30, 2026 to place their orders. These products are limited to one per player.

Overall, it’s an interesting program that incentivizes players to chase certain trophies for exclusive real-world merchandise. We’ll learn more about the Ghost of Yōtei Rewards later this year.
